High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, may increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.
This is why managing high blood pressure is essential to prevent heart disease. Most people with high blood pressure need 2 or more blood pressure-lowering medications to control blood pressure. However, this can be expensive, makes it more challenging to maintain treatment, and increases the risk of side-effects.
Researchers are continuously developing treatment options that may be effective and convenient for managing high blood pressure. This research trial seeks to determine the effectiveness of an investigational medication that combines three different blood pressure lowering medications into a single tablet to be taken once a day. All three of these medications are already prescribed in many countries to lower blood pressure and are used either independently or with each other in dual combinations.
