What is Crohn’s Disease?
Crohn’s disease is a health problem that causes swelling and irritation in the digestive system. It can lead to stomach pain, bad diarrhea, feeling tired, losing weight, and not getting enough nutrients.
It can affect different parts of the digestive system for different people. Most often, it shows up at the end of the small intestine and the start of the large intestine. The swelling can go deep into the lining of the gut.
Crohn’s disease can be very painful and hard to live with. Sometimes, it can cause serious health problems.
There is no cure yet, but treatments can help control the symptoms. Some people feel much better and stay that way for a long time with the right care. Many people with Crohn’s can live normal lives.
